Napolean era Venice

This is not atypical of Venice. Very worn, badly maintained buildings speaking with voices of great grandeur in ages past. I imagine Venice in the 1600 and 1700 to look much prettier than it even does today. Properly painted, looking new, but with the old style. You can just see that the building above was once painted pastel coloured pink.
