This is typical of Venice: the whole town has a feeling of "Legoland" about it. It's dinkier than Florence architecture and has ueber style; too much in fact, that you expect Mozart in a wig to leap out of one of San Marco Square's orifices and shout "Tra la la ladies. Here's a little number I russled up last night." OK, a bit daft, but that's the best way I can describe it.
